Sun 2/5: Franco’s Italian Sausage Sandwich, TRH IPA Beer Bowl, and The Big Game…

Sunday February 4th, we unleash Franco’s Italian Sausage Sandwich, an ode to football great Franco Harris, unto the masses.

This 1/3 pound sweet Italian sausage is put in a fresh baked French roll, covered in homemade marinara sauce and sliced provolone cheese, and topped with parmesan cheese. This special will run for one day only, no additions, 11am to 10pm, or until supplies are exhausted.

The TRH IPA Beer Bowl kicks off at 3pm. This year, kegs of Schooner Exact 3-Grid IPA and Two Beers Brewing Evo IPA will be tapped at 3pm. Pints of each are only $3.75. First keg to blow wins the title, and whoever orders the pint that kicks the keg will earn a token of appreciation. Winner of this match will defend this prestigious title next year.

The “other” Bowl game is on at 3:30pm as The New York Football Giants take on the Patriots of New England. New projector just went up, big screen looks better than ever, and the dogs and beer will be flowing. See. You. There.

Wed 2/1: The Washington Apple (Sausage Dog)

In our glorious state of Washington, our apple farmers produce 4 billion pounds of apples annually. You can enjoy some of that harvest today. Wednesday February 1st, we unleash The Washington Apple Sausage Dog unto the masses.

This small-batch 1/4 pound smoked chicken-and-Washington apple sausage is paired with deli mustard, a homemade warm slaw comprised of green Washington apples, onions, and red cabbage braised in Washington apple cider, and topped with a touch of dill.

This special is gluten-free when ordered sans bun, is vegetarian friendly when ordered with our Not-Brat, and will run for one day only, no additions, 11am to 10pm, or until supplies are exhausted.

Saturday 1/28: Get a Taste of Strange Brew w/7 Bloody Seas

If you, like many, can’t get out to Port Townsend this week for Strange Brew Fest, we’ll be tapping a strange keg of 7 Seas Brewing’s “Seven Bloody Seas”, a pale ale with tomato and spices, and garnished with a pickled string bean.

This keg will be tapped when we open on Saturday at 11am, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. This is taking “red beer” to another level. Let’s get strange Saturday morning together…

Wed 1/4: The TRH Flight of the Concorde Dog

Wednesday January 4th, we’ll unleash The TRH Flight of the Concorde Dog unto the masses.

This all beef hot dog is cradled in a slice of smoked ham, a slice of all-natural swiss cheese, and topped with dijon mustard, cornichon pickles, and crispy french fried onions. LET THEM EAT HOT DOGS!

This special will run for one day only, no additions, 11am to 10pm, or until supplies are exhausted. Bon Appétit!

TRH: 1 of 150 Chosen Bars/Jewbelation 15 Release, TODAY 12/20

This year, Shmaltz Brewing has again chosen The Red Hot as one of it’s Chosen Bars, which makes us one of a limited number of places (150 in the country, only 4 in WA State, and only one in Tacoma) that you can try and enjoy their newest Anniversary beer, the 15 malt/15 hop/15%ABV,He’Brew Jewbelation 15, on draft.

We’ll also be pouring Shmaltz’s He’Brew limited IPA release project, Hop Manna IPA Test Batch #4, and He’Brew Origin Pomegranate Ale alongside this amazing brew.

All three beers go on when we open today, and are limited.

Sat 12/17: Kiss My Cask, 12 noon

Plain and simple. This Saturday, at noon, we’re tapping three bar top casks of locally made Double IPA’s. 7 Seas Ballz Deep IIPA, Pike Double IPA, and Maritime Pacific Triple Dry Hopped Imperial IPA. Fresh and delicious, get it while you can.

Wed 12/7: The TRH Dirty South (Hot Link) Dog

Wednesday December 7th, we’ll unleash The TRH Dirty South Dog unto the masses. An ode to the bbq joints we grew up with in South Carolina, this special will delight your face.

This spicy hot link is topped with with our own house made Carolina Gold mustard-based barbecue sauce, our very own cole slaw, and sweet pickle slices.

This special will run for one day only, no additions, 11am to 10pm, or until supplies are exhausted. Get some.

Thurs 11/24: The TRH T-Dog & Thanksgiving Hours

We’ll be opening late on Thursday, (open at 5pm, closing at 11pm) for wayward pals seeking the camaraderie of our neighborhood tavern, and some semblance of a holiday meal. Our regular menu will not be available. Instead, our ode to the traditional turkey day meal will be served:

Thursday November 24th, we’ll unleash The TRH T-Dog unto the masses. A once-a-year treat, this dog is not to be missed.

This turkey dog is topped with with cranberry sauce, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes with butter, and brown turkey gravy.

This special will run for one day only, no additions, 5pm to 10pm, or until supplies are exhausted. Our vegetarian pals can order with a vegidog (sans gravy) to adhere to dietary preferences. Get some.

The craft beer shall flow, the football will be on our big screen (followed by a cinematic holiday favorite), and we’ll all hold it down together…see you there.

Wed 11/9: Silver City Night @ TRH, 6pm

Tonight, our consistently-award-winning-pals from up the road in Silverdale, Silver City Brewery, are stopping by with a grip of treats. We’ll have their flagship Ridgetop Red, some Indianola IPA, a cask of the always amazing Whoop Pass Double IPA, and a special one-off batch of Oatmeal Pale, Pale-Oaty.

Brewmaster Don Spencer will be here to answer any beer-y questions, some surpirses await, and schwag will flow just like the delicious beer and good times.
