Red Hot Artwork & Skates

7 Dec

This morning I got a suprise when I spied a few skateboard decks that had been dropped off at The Red Hot last night. Thing is, these are one-of-a-kind Canadian Maple decks (7.625” wide) with custom artwork. Peep these:

The totally amazing artwork is by both Peter Whitley of Skaters For Public Skateparks, and local artist Naomi Howe. The good news for you skaters and art buffs is that you can win one of these beauties on Wednesday December 19th down here at The Red Hot for a Skate Night. All the related hoopla associated with our events will be in full effect (cheap beer, hot dogging mayhem, skate vids on the big screen, etc.). It will be from 7-9, and we’ll do the drawings then. Artists and crew will be present, and you should, too.

After seeing them, you really have no idea how hard it is for me to let these go…totally amazing!

Pete created two art pieces that hang in my house. They are amazing. Pete is an incredibly talented artist and someone you’ll absolutely want to capture before he gets really big.
