Bob’s Beer @ The Red Hot

14 May

From Georgetown Brewing: Bob’s is a special beer brewed in honor of our friend, Bob Hirsch, who fought cancer valiantly for many years. He lived his final days to the fullest and he is an inspiration to all of us. Bob’s Brown Ale will be brewed once a year and released every May 14th (Bob’s birthday). 100% of the proceeds from Bob’s will be donated in honor of Charles “Bob” Hirsch to the Seattle Ronald McDonald House to provide a “home-away-from-home” for Children’s Hospital patients and families. Bob’s Brown Ale is big and brown with lots of hops. We use a blend of 2-row Pale, Caramel, Chocolate, Munich, and Roasted Barley Malts, then add shit loads of Centennial and Crystal hops to make this a meaty brown brew.

Here’s a writeup from last year’s News Tribune.

The Bob’s is cold and ready to go. A lot of places charge $5 or more for this super-limited brew that only comes around once a year, but we’re just keeping it the regular pint price of $3.75. We only have one keg of this bad boy, and once it’s gone, it’s gone until next year. Thanks for helping!
